“Slurping Soup and other confusions” launch at Mary Kate Brown’s Tai Tai shop in Shunyi proved to be a fun morning.
Four of the authors, Cherie Emigh, Ulrike Gemmer, Kathryn Tonges and Lucinda Willshire, were on hand to sign copies and answer questions about how their resource helps third culture kids (and families) during transition.
Friends popped in to not only celebrate the launch but also Lucinda’s visit from Australia, and Ulrike’s birthday.
Check out Mary Kate’s wonderful shop which sells a wide variety of bits and bobs including coconut oil-based lotions and scrubs, stainless steel silverware and a jade cheese plate that is to die for. Having spent four years in Thailand, owner Mary Kate imports many of her items from there and donates a portion of her proceeds to a Thai charity.
Tai Tai store is inside of Chen Hao Furniture, Xinbaixinzhuang West street. It’s the first store after the traffic lights between Capital Paradise and Garhod (opposite Garhod).
