At the 18 May event parents explored how best to identify the needs of their third culture children. Cherie Emigh and Kathryn Tonges, two of the Beijing based authors of the unique resource ‘Slurping Soup and other confusions: true stories and activities to help third culture kids during transition’, explained how these needs can often be hidden behind presenting behaviours that parents may find challenging. The participants were presented with a useful activity to help them choose stories and activities from the book that might best help their children cope and work through the challenges of international living.
